TERMS & CONDITIONS

IN THE FOLLOWING TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BOARDING, GLASSTHORPE LUXURY DOG HOTEL IS REFERRED TO AS "GLDH" AND THE OWNER OF THE DOG(S) TO BE BOARDED ARE REFERRED TO AS "THE OWNER".

 

1.    Vaccination details

1.1.       All dogs must be fully vaccinated, and the current vaccination certificate must be presented on each visit.

1.2.       The vaccination certificate must remain in the possession of GLDH throughout the period of boarding.

1.3.       Failure to provide a valid vaccination certificate for each dog will prevent them from boarding.

1.4.       This must show a booster vaccination having taken place within the last 12 months and signed off by a qualified Veterinary Surgeon. The certificate must show the booster having been administered as part of a course of vaccinations.

1.5.       Dog Vaccinations must safeguard against the following diseases: Distemper, Parvovirus, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis and Parainfluenza.

1.6.        All dogs must have a current Kennel Cough (Infectious Tracheobronchitis) vaccination.

1.7.       Your dog must have this at least 2 weeks prior to arrival at kennels. This is NOT part of your annual booster vaccination.  If you are in any doubt, Kennel Cough vaccines can be identified on your vaccination card / certificate as ‘Intrac’ (which lasts for 6 months) or ‘Nobivac KC’ (which lasts for 12 months). This is caused by an airborne infection and thus outside the control of GLDH.

1.8       GLDH will never knowingly accept a dog with the condition, but as incubation can exceed 10 days it may not be detectable prior to arrival. THE OWNER therefore accepts that this hazard exists, especially at busy times.

1.9    In this instance your booking may be cancelled but you will remain liable for the boarding fees in full.

1.10.    All Animals must be covered by a known flea treatment, such as ‘Frontline’, ‘Stronghold’ or ‘Advantage’ before they are boarded. These products have varying lengths of effectiveness. Animals that arrive with fleas will be administered such a product and charged accordingly.

1.11.    An effective Wormer, such as ‘Drontal’ or ‘Panacure’ must have been administered to any Dog prior to boarding. This should be taken at least a week before coming into the Kennels / Cattery. Please check with your Veterinary Surgery on how long each product will protect your Pet.

1.12.      Both wormer and flea treatment names and dates must be listed on the vaccination certificate and provided with each visit.

2.    Medical Record

2.1.       If an animal has a medical condition of any sort, we must be notified at the time of booking.

2.2.       If we have not been notified of such a condition or course of medication, we reserve the right to refuse admission.

2.3.       We reserve the right to refuse to board any dog that is clearly unwell, or that we consider could be dangerous to our staff.

2.4.      Enough medication for the duration of your dog(s) stay and specific instructions must be provided. If medication runs out, we will purchase additional supplies on your behalf and charge you accordingly.

2.5.      By signing these Ts and Cs you authorise GLDH to administer medication as per your instructions.

3.    Veterinary Treatment

3.1.       In the unlikely event your dog becomes unwell during their stay they will be treated by our designated veterinary surgeon. Where viable we will endeavour to use your designated veterinary surgeon.

3.2.       THE OWNER accepts that a veterinary surgeon will be called if GLDH think it necessary & any resulting fees will be payable by THE OWNER at time of collection. GLDH will not be held liable for any illness or injury.

3.3.       During the period of boarding, GLDH will exercise every possible care and attention to the welfare and safety of the pet, however GLDH accepts no responsibility for problems outside of their control.

3.4.      By signing these Ts and Cs you authorise GLDH to transport your dog(s) and take any necessary action regarding the health and safety of them. You authorise the attending veterinarian to treat your pets and accept full responsibility for all fees and charges.

4.    Emergency Protocol

4.1.       In a case of emergency, the person you have nominated will be contacted via telephone, text and email.

4.2.       The designated veterinary surgeon will be contacted and engaged if required as stated above.

4.3.       THE OWNER will also be notified by telephone, text and email.

5.    Behavioural History

5.1.       We do not accept animals with aggressive or destructive temperaments and must be notified of any incidences. This includes aggressive behaviour towards other dogs or humans, or destructive tendencies (damage to property).

5.2.       In cases where animals are left that prove to be aggressive towards other animals or staff, or destructive to our facilities, we may contact you to arrange their removal.

5.3.       All damage caused by an animal to any area will be chargeable to the Animal Owner.

6.    Minimum Age

6.1.       GLDH operate a minimum age policy of 4 months.

7.    Diet

7.1.       All food must be supplied by the owner in air tight containers or resealable bags.

7.2.       If you do not supply enough food or food becomes damaged, we will buy further supplies on your behalf and request costs on check out.

7.3.       If you don’t supply the food your pet eats normally GLDH are not held liable for any conditions resulting from change of diet.

7.4.      You must advise of any known allergies. GLDH will not be held liable for any sickness or treatment as a result of unknown restrictions.

7.5.      By signing these Ts and Cs you authorise GLDH to feed your dog(s) as per your instructions

8.    Bedding & Toys

8.1.       We request that you provide any bedding that you wish your Pet to have during his / her stay.

8.3.       GLDH take no responsibility for loss or damage to any supplied bedding, leads, toys or other belongings.

9.    Deposits

9.1.       All customers will be required to pay a 25% deposit.

9.2.       Deposits are non-refundable.

9.3.       If 14 days or less cancellation notice is given prior to boarding, customers will be required to pay the full booking amount.

9.4.       All deposits must be paid 7 days after booking confirmation by either card or BACS (including surname and booking ID as reference).

10.  Boarding Fees

10.1.    THE OWNER is charged for each day or part thereof (£30 for one dog, £20 per additional dog staying in the same room from the same household).

10.2.    All fees must be paid on arrival.

10.3.    Dogs collected before 10:30am will not incur an additional day boarding fee at the prevailing rate.

10.3.1.   Dogs collected after 10:30am will incur an additional day boarding fee at the prevailing rate.

10.4.    Should the stay be extended by THE OWNER for any reason, extra days will be charged at the daily rate.

10.5.    If the stay is curtailed, the full price may remain payable, but GLDH, (at their discretion), may offer a refund for unused days, except during busy periods where it is not possible to re-allocate the accommodation. 

10.6.      Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day are double fees (we are also closed to the public on these days).

11.  No Show

11.1.    A No-Show is the term used for a booking where you have failed to present your dogs for boarding within 48 hours of the first day of your booking.

11.2.    In this instance THE OWNER agrees that the booking may be cancelled.

11.3.    THE OWNER further agrees to be liable in full for all boarding fees and agree to pay on receipt of GLDH invoice. 

12.  Late Cancellation Charge

12.1.    We reserve the right to charge for the whole period originally booked in the event of late cancellation, non-attendance/arrival, or late adjustment to the original period booked.

13.  Non-Collection

13.1.    Any pet not collected within fourteen days of the agreed date of collection may be re-homed at GLDH discretion unless satisfactory communication is received from THE OWNER within this period.

14.  Payment

14.1.    All outstanding fees must be paid in full on or before the time of collection by cash or debit or credit card.

14.2.    If your payment is withdrawn or declined you accept full liability for any bank charges incurred, you further agree that GLDH may at their discretion charge an admin fee of 30% of any outstanding balance, if they have to enforce the debt.

14.3.    Deposit payment may be also made by bank transfer but must include your surname and arrival date as the payment reference.

15.  Opening Hours

15.1.    We operate a strict by invitation only policy. The times selected for your booking are precise, and we ask that you arrive within ten minutes either side of this.

15.2.    If you are early, please wait at the bottom of the drive and ring us to confirm that you may park outside the building. If you are running late please notify us - we may ask that you come at a later time. At times we may ask for you to arrive earlier or later dependent upon our schedule.

16.  Identification

16.1.    Dogs must wear a collar and tag stating the name and address of the owner.

16.2.    When arriving or leaving the property your dog(s) must be on leads at all times. If you normally use a harness to walk your dog, please bring this for their stay.

16.3.   If requested in writing, collars may be removed whilst dogs left in their room for safety reasons. GLDH will not be held liable for any injury as a result of dogs wearing collars.

17. Dogs from The Same Household

17.1.    By signing these Ts and Cs you hereby authorise GLDH to house your dogs in the same room (if requested) and separate should it be necessary.

18. Walking

18.1.    By signing these Ts and Cs you hereby authorise GLDH to walk your dog(s) outside of the facility building. Where possible and safe we will endeavour to walk your dog(s) off lead and therefore must be notified in writing if they are not allowed off lead.

18.2.      GLDH must be informed of any restrictions to exercise and will not be held liable due to illness or injury as a result of undisclosed conditions.

19. Socialisation

19.1.    By signing these Ts and Cs you hereby authorise GLDH to socialise your dog(s) with other selected dogs should it be deemed beneficial. We must be notified in writing if you wish your dog not to interact with others.

20. Grooming

20.1.    GLDH will not groom or wash your dog(s) unless specifically requested to, or should it be deemed necessary. By signing these Ts and Cs you authorise GLDH to groom and undertake relevant health regimes as needed and/or agreed on arrival.

21. Entry Refusal

21.1.   GLDH will refuse entry to any dogs on the registered Dangerous Dogs List. GLDH will also refuse entry to any dog suspected to be/or crossed with a Dangerous Dog Breed.

21.2.   GLDH reserves the right to not accept any dog for boarding.

22. Information

22.1.    The information entered within the booking system will be used only by GLDH to manage bookings and care for your pets. You have the following rights regarding data held by us:

The Right To Be Informed of the fact that we are collecting and storing your data and why

The Right Of Access to the data that we have collected on you

The Right To Rectification if you want to correct or change any Personal Data

The Right To Be Forgotten and have your Personal Data be deleted from our records

The Right To Data Portability and the transfer of your information to another business

The Right To Object To Processing And Direct Marketing, while we still hold your Personal Data

The Right To Be Notified of any breach of your data with 72 hours

Please note that we do not have any hidden extras such as heating or additional walks. Your dog will have 24 hour heating according to its needs, and plenty of exercise.
